Flávio Dezembro do Nascimento Rosa

Born on September 28, 1987. This Italian name and surname may not be known to many people, but some have already seen one of his weekly television appearances. Flávio december is a resident of Campo Limpo in the south of São Paulo, son of Clarice Leite december and Jesus do Nascimento Rosa, a talented keyboardist who has dedicated himself to music for 22 years.

He started playing the keyboard by chance. Before dedicating himself to music, his dream was to be an athlete. He started out playing ball, but soon realized that he had no talent for that sport. At the age of 6 he already started his first Karate classes. At the age of 12 he was already a black belt and was part of the São Paulo Karate Federation, traveling through various cities and states participating in various championships.

But his dream of becoming an athlete was cut short when his late father lost his job. “Unfortunately we didn’t have the money to continue paying for the gym and that’s when I ended up moving away from the sport”, recalled Flávio.

Shortly afterwards he started taking music lessons. His first musical experience was playing the guitar. But it would be with the keyboard that he would discover his musical talent. One day, when he and his brother were playing in church, they were informed that the church would need someone to play the keyboard. It was then suggested to him and his brother that one of the two choose to play this other instrument.

“We didn’t have money to buy two guitars. My brother and I shared a guitar. But on the same day, not knowing that it had been suggested that I or my brother play the keyboard, we were surprised by my father. Upon arriving home we found him with a keyboard. He had no idea, it was something impressive”, said Flávio Novembro.

From that day on, Flávio started playing the keyboard. He started taking classes and two months after his first contact with this instrument he was already playing in presentations at the church his family attended.

In the year 2000 he was already a student at the School of Music & Technology (EM&T). His teacher was Emílio Mendonça. Different from a traditional music school, at EM&T Flávio learned not only to play an instrument, but also everything that involves the technology part of that instrument, such as the keyboard timbre and other details.

In 2008 Flávio began to dedicate himself professionally to music. He put together a band with his brother Fábio december, who at the time played bass. It was the band “Missão Eterna”, a group that even recorded the CD “A Prova” and played in several parishes in the city of São Paulo. At the time, they even participated in a band contest promoted by the Playcenter park. They won in the category the most voted band on the site and had the opportunity to play for thousands of people in a show held in the park. It was also at this time that they made their first appearance on television, when they had the opportunity to perform on TV Aparecida.

After that, there were several presentations in several cities in Brazil. They played at the Catholic music event known as Hallel, promoted in several cities, such as Franca, Uberlândia, São Paulo. His father, Jesus do Nascimento Rosa, was the one who accompanied the band, took care of the concert schedule and recorded it in photos and videos. In 2013 unfortunately, after the death of Senhor Jesus do Nascimento, the band disbanded. “My father and mother always encouraged me a lot. Sadly, after his passing, the band broke up. It was a very difficult time for us. My brother and I started to care and help more at home. I even thought about stopping playing,” said Flávio.

After a period away from music, in 2014 Flávio december returned to play and teach music. He played in several venues such as Guarapirão, Terra Country and Coração Sertanejo. “I am a very eclectic person. I like listening to and playing different styles of music. I’ve played in jazz, sertanejo, samba, gospel bands. This opportunity to play different styles is very important for our professional growth, as you get to know different styles, arrangements and different ways of playing”, explained Flávio de Novembro.

From 2014 onwards, Flávio began to juggle work as a department manager at a supermarket and music. It was 5 years dividing his time between music and work. “It was a very demanding routine, it was getting complicated, I had to reconcile work and music. In 2019 I ended up leaving work and started dedicating myself 100% to music. In addition to playing at night, I also started teaching,” he said.

In-person music classes were interrupted in 2020 by the coronavirus pandemic. Flávio then started teaching online. ′′ Due to the pandemic, we weren’t having any more events so I had to take classes online. I also needed to arrange another service. I also started to work as a sales assistant at a swimming pool accessories factory. This work I manage to reconcile until today. And next year if everything goes well I intend to return with classes

The dream of Flávio’s father, Senhor Jesus, was to see his son playing in a big band and making presentations on television and to large audiences. Flávio ran after and carried out his father’s will. It was in 2016 that he met keyboardist Adilon, from Padre Marcelo Rossi’s band. Adilon invited Flávio to participate in the “Retaguarda” prayer group every 15 days on Tuesdays, at the Mãe de Deus Shrine. “I received an invitation to play on Saturdays at the mass broadcast by Rede Vida. From then on, I started playing at masses on Saturdays at 3 pm, on Thursdays at 8 pm and on Sundays at Rede Globo masses at 6 am, and at 9 am broadcast on Padre’s social networks” says Flávio december.

And anyone who thinks that Flávio Setembro planned to play with Father Marcelo Rossi is wrong. Despite being his fan, he had never thought of playing with Padre Marcelo. “I always listened to him a lot. I have your first CDs. It played several songs, mainly from the first CDs that were very successful. I followed his trajectory from the time he was still a deacon and then a priest. He brought many people into the church. I never imagined that he would one day be part of your band. It is a very big responsibility, as it turns out that we are a mirror for several other people who dream of playing alongside a great artist like Father Marcelo Rossi”, he said.

Flávio explains the difference between playing with Padre Marcelo Rossi and in church with performances at concert halls in São Paulo. “Inside the church you play for love. Not that in sertanejo or other styles you don’t play, but in church it seems different, it seems that you are there for something bigger. It’s a different feeling. This ended up helping me a lot, because before, oddly enough, I was very afraid to play, ”he said.

“I often joke that I have two Jesuses up there, Jesus and my father. He cannot in life see me playing in a big band, performing in front of big audiences. But I’m sure he’s watching everything from up there and he must be very proud. In the future, I want to be able to dedicate myself 100% to music again, go back to teaching face-to-face classes and continue, until when God allows me, to play alongside Father Marcelo Rossi, a person I have great admiration for and from whom I learn every step of the way. days to be a better person”, concluded Flávio december.

André Nunes

I was born in Viçosa do Ceará – CE on March 28, 1989, when I was 6 months old my family moved to Brasília and soon after to Goiás, where I still live.

A little bit of my story, briefly and simply.

Musician, multi-instrumentalist, producer and Youtuber, I started in music at the age of 12 encouraged by my father who simply asked “WANT TO LEARN THE KEYBOARD?”, I was a kid, I didn't have much to do, I decided to say YES... that definitely decided the direction my life was going to take.

I started playing in bars and pubs at the age of 12, and that was certainly a great school, since at NOITE I had to learn to play a little bit of everything, always focused on FORRÓ, but I played a variety of styles and that was until I was 18 years old.

At the age of 18 I started playing in a band that already had their own work, I already started traveling to other states because until then, I had never left Goiás/Brasília.
at the age of 20 I received the proposal to be the keyboardist of a band that already had a certain name, I wasn't really in the mood to go at the time, but once again I ended up saying YES, that was something that changed my life again.

I was in the band FORRÓ BOYS for 10 years, as a musician and after a few years I ended up becoming a music producer as well. In the band I traveled through almost all states of Brazil, recorded more than 7 CDs and 4 DVDs.

It's even funny that after more than 22 years, I'm here, working in the same area that at the time was something without much seriousness for me.

Today I continue working in the music field, active in shows, I continue to produce other artists in my studio and mainly creating content for my social networks, I ended up having the biggest YOUTUBE channel in the keyboard area in FORRÓ and PISEIRO, reaching 800 thousand subscribers and more 120k followers on Instagram, this led me to get partnerships with brands like YAMAHA, KORG and STAY MUSIC.
